Music became the place where I could hold two conflicting truths without needing either of them to disappear.
I didn’t set out to become a songwriter.
I set out to understand experiences that ordinary conversation never seemed capable of holding.
Music became the place where questions could exist without immediately demanding answers.
Most of the songs I write begin with uncertainty.
A single sentence.
A memory.
A contradiction.
A moment I can’t quite explain.
Over time those fragments become melodies, stories, and eventually entire worlds.
That’s how the between series was born.
Not from a plan.
From paying attention.
